Virginian Pilot Sunday March 14, 1909 

The funeral of the late S.W. Stevens, who died at his home in South Norfolk Friday 
evening at 11 o'clock will be conducted from the family residence this afternoon 
at 3 o'clock.
The deceased was 54 years old, was a native of Petersburg, Va., and is survived by 
a wife and several children.
The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. R.B. Scott, pastor of Liberty Street 
M.E. Church, and interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
