Virginian Pilot November 14, 1959

NORFOLK - Richard Harris Stevens, 76, son of Richard H. and Mrs. Lula Hawks 
Stevens, died Friday at 12:30 a.m. at residence, 2725 Granby Ave.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Annie S. Chitty of Norfolk and nieces and 
nephews.
Mr. Stevens was a lifelong resident of Norfolk.  He was a member of the Extension 
Department of Trinity Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be conducted at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 2 
p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.  The family has requested in lieu of 
flowers contributions may be sent to the Arthritis Fund.
