Margaret Pearo Stevens, 64, died May 17, 1993, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mrs. Stevens was born in Mackinac Island, Mich., and was a Catholic. She was a 
member of Ladies Auxiliary Chapter 4, Disabled American Veterans. She was the 
widow of Chauncey D. Stevens Sr.

Survivors include three daughters, Lillian A. Matt, Mildred T. Palmer and Florence 
A. James, all of Norfolk; six sons, John A. Matt, Walter J. Matt and Steven D. 
Stevens, all of Norfolk, Chester P. Crowe of Virginia Beach, Chauncey D. Stevens 
III of Onancock, Va., and Raymond C. Stevens of Camden, N.C.; two sisters, Clair 
Creecy of Michigan and Beatrice Solli of Ohio; one brother, Henry Pearo of 
Florida; and 13 grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Catholic 
Church by the Rev. Joseph P. Lehman. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The 
family will receive friends in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 
7 to 9 p.m. Friday, and also at the home of Millie Palmer, 1130 Hillside Ave., 
Norfolk.
