PORTSMOUTH – Winifred Elizabeth Stevenson, 82, of the
 500 block of McLean
St., 
died Aug. 9, 2006, in 
her residence. A 
native of Providence, R.I.,
she
 was a 
retired
 registered 
nurse and was a
 Catholic. She was preceded
in death by her 
husband, Robert Louis Stevenson Sr. and her son, Robert Louis Stevenson Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Joyner and husband Ron of Virginia Beach and 
Janet Moore of Norfolk; four sons, Paul Stevenson and wife Margie of Portsmouth, 
Jim Stevenson and wife Lucy of Monterey, Va., Randy Stevenson of Chesapeake and 
Rich Stevenson and wife Betty of Driver, Va.; a sister, Dorothy McKellips of Las 
Vegas, Nev.; 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-
grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. today in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. 
Memorial donations may be made to Bon Secours Hospice or a charity of choice. The 
family would like to thank Bon Secours Hospice.
