Norfolk - Lawrence P. Steward of 7008 Granby St., the husband of Mrs. Martha
Steward, died March 19 in the home of his mother, Mrs. Annie Tisdale.

A native of Brunswick County, he was an employee of Carolina Marble and Tile Co.

Survivors also include a daughter, Linda Taylor of Norfolk.

A funeral service was held March 23 in St. Paul AME Church by the Rev. William
Johnson.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with full military honors at the grave.
 Metropolitan Funeral Home had charge.
