Norfolk Journal and Guide, Aug 28,1943
Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Stewart, 50, 790 Lincoln street, who died in 
a local hospital August 19, as the result of stab wounds, were held at the 
Second Calvary Baptist Church August 23. The Rev. C. P. Madison officiated. 
Surviving are four daughters, a grandchild, and a brother. Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery
