The Virginian Pilot May 19 1962
William Claudius Stewart, 96, son of John and Mrs. Lovie Woodhouse Stewart died 
Thursday in North Arlington, N.J.
Mr. Stewart, a retired merchant, was a native of Nansemond County and lived in 
Norfolk most of his life.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Earnie Marder of North Arlington; a 
stepdaughter, Mrs. Maywood Elrod of Moyock, N.C.; five grandchildren, seven 
great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Apartments Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by 
the Rev. George H. Boyd of Larchmont Methodist Church.  Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
