Miss Mary Stimpson, Teacher 40 Years In Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH - Miss Mary Stimpson of 429 Sussex Drive, retired home economics 
teacher of Portsmouth public schools, died Tuesday at 11:35 a.m. in a 
Virginia Beach hospital.
She retired after 50 years and was a member of the Retired Teachers 
Association and St. John's Episcopal Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include cousins.
The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, 
Virginia Beach. A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Magnolia 
Cemetery by the Rev. David H. LaMotte. The family suggests that flowers be 
omitted and memorial donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 
Portsmouth.
