J. C. Stockley, aged 53, died at midnight Monday night at New Haven, Conn. He was a former well known resident of Norfolk, being at one time manager of the old Hampton Roads Yacht Club. He left Norfolk to manage the Piedmont Club in Lynchburg and from there went to New Haven. He was a past exalted ruler of B. P. O. Elks, and also a member of the Masonic fraternity. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nettie Ewell Stockley, one sister, Mrs. Jack Handy, both of Lynchburg. Funeral arrangements have not been announced. FUNERALS-W. J. C. Stockley-Funeral services for Mr. Stockley will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
