The Norfolk Virginian April 7 1897
STOKES--Frank Lee Stokes, aged 34 years. Died at residence, No. 407 Main 
street, Monday afternoon, April 5th, 1897.
Funeral THIS(Wednesday) AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock at residence

The funeral of Mr. Frank Lee Stokes took place yesterday afternoon from No. 
407 Main street, and was conducted by Rev. E. B. Hatcher, of the First 
Baptist church. The interment was in Elmwood cemetery. Norfolk Lodge No. 9, 
Knights of Pythias, to which he belonged, was in attendance.
