She was born in Disputanta, Va., and was the widow of Ralph C. Vigilante Sr. and Alton L. Stokes. She was retired from Atlantic Permanent as a loan officer. She is survived by three daughters, Judith V. Loper and husband Jack, Rita V. Sioros of Virginia Beach, Terri V. Post and husband Gene of Glenville, N.Y.; son, Ralph C. Vigilante Jr. of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren, Janet Robold, Elaine Sioros, Paul Sioros Jr., Jonathan Post, Aaron Post, Adam Vigilante and Kate Veverka; five great-grandchildren; cousin, Jeanne Risque; and her dear friend, Claira. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Bowden and brother, James Lilley. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she sang in the choir for many years and also enjoyed sewing, upholstering, bowling and traveling. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held today at 2 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, is in charge.
