Norfolk - Mrs. Lucille L. Stokes of 456 Nicholson Street died Thursday,
September 1, in a hospital.

A native of Winton, she was the wife of the late Corbett Stokes, and was a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Harris of the Bronx, and Mrs.
Marian Woodson of Norfolk;  a sister, Mrs. Aldeen Beamon of Norfolk;  and three
grandchildren.

A funeral was held Tuesday, September 6, in Graves Funeral Chapel.  Burial was
in Calvary Cemetery.
