Her life was a long and useful life. The following telegrams were received by the family: “sympathy in the death of my loving grandmother. She is with the angels now. God’s will be done. Brokenhearted granddaughter, Beatrice Foote, Philadelphia PA.” “You have our sympathy in this hour of bereavement. Words are inadequate to express our sorrow in your loss which is also ours for in the death of your mother we have lost a friend. Sorry we can not attend funeral. Love and sympathy to others of the family. May the Lord give you strength to bear this great affliction. Rev. and Mrs. W. H. Moore, Wilmington, NC.” The funeral was held at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Sunday, Feb. 20th. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
