After a diagnosis of heart cancer in January, Janet chose to live out her final days surrounded by the love of family and friends. Strong in her faith, she never had fear and showed us all how the love of God and His Grace ensured a peaceful passing. She married the one love of her life, William M. Stokley, on 10-16- 1976, and shared 32 years of marriage before Billy’s passing in 2008. She is survived by her only daughter, Jillian M. Breitwieser (Karl), who was the “spice of her life” and loved her only grandchild and travel buddy, Marleigh R. Breitwieser. She is also survived by her mother, Dorothy Gantley, 96; her siblings, Michael Gantley, Dennis Gantley, Mary Gantley, and Patrick Gantley. She is predeceased by her brother, Timothy Gantley. She was the founder and president of Surplus Electrical Innovations for 25 years before her well-deserved retirement. She spent her life in service of others, always giving of her time and support to many organizations close to her heart. She enjoyed travel and a good book, preferably by the pool in Florida. She had the biggest heart as shown by her lifelong generosity to others. It is only fitting that in the end, it was her heart that couldn’t give anymore. A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.
