Stone, aged 29 years, died yesterday at 5:35 o'clock at the residence of his parents, 611 E. Freemason Street, after a long illness. He was well known and greatly esteemed. The funeral will take place at H.C. Smith's funeral apartments, 306 Bank Street, Saturday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Stone, he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mary Edwards, Miss Beulah Stone, Mrs. Lulie Barnes and Miss Jennie Stone; also a brother, Peter Stone, all of Norfolk. ************************************************************************* The funeral of James T. Stone, son of Mr. and Mrs. P.W Stone, took place at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at H.C. Smith's funeral apartments, 306 Bank Street, and was largely attended. Services were conducted by Rev. J.L. Bray of the Cumberland Street Methodist Church. Many handsome floral designs were received. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers were: M. Ringgold, G. Ringgold, W. White and D. Crawford.
