Norfolk Virginian Pilot January 4, 1951

Mrs. Ada Dykes Stone, 79, widow of Everette Edwin Stone and a resident of 
this section for 50 years, died yesterday at 5:15 p.m. at the residence, 206 
50th Street, Virginia Beach.
A native of Richmond, she was a daughter of the late Joel Richard and Mrs. 
Clara Frances Sizer Dykes.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. William C. Brimmer, of Houston, Tex.; Mrs. 
Randle McGavock, Mrs. F.E. Horton and Mrs. Harold B. Adams, all of Virginia 
Beach; Mrs. Morris A. Hill and Mrs. W.C. Griffin, both of Norfolk; nine 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
