Mrs. Story was born in Norfolk, and was preceded in death by her father John P. Freire. Mrs. Story was the sales coordinator with the Farrell Lines at NIT and a member of the Women's Hampton Roads Transportation Association. Survivors include her mother, Alba Gomez Jackson and her stepfather, Harlan E. Jackson, of Virginia Beach; her two sisters, Rita Jackson Lupton of Chesapeake, and Susan J. Haas of Newport News; brother John M. Freire of Virginia Beach; and many loving nieces, nephews and co-workers. She will be always remembered as a loving and a good person by her family and friends. A chapel service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. today, Sept. 23, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan E. Jackson, 3150 Inlet Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23454.
