Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday January 10, 1945


Mrs. Frances Benton Stosser, 87, widow of Frederick B. Stosser and daughter 
of the late Jesse and Mrs. Mary Stevens Benton, a native of Martin County, 
North Carolina, and a resident of Norfolk for the past 65 years, died 
yesterday morning at a local hospital. Services will be held at the chapel 
of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments this afternoon at 4 o’clock with the 
Rev. O.J. Hodges, pastor of the Baptist Tabernacle, of which Mrs. Stosser 
was a member, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
