Norfolk Journal and Guide, Dec 16,1961
Johnnie Strong, 70, of 721 Alleghany street, who died at his home Dec. 6, was 
given final rites Saturday at Fitchett Funeral Home.

The Rev. Amos McClees officiated at the service for the Dinwiddie County native.  
Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery.  Mr. Strong is survived by a sister, Mrs. Rosa 
Butts Eaton of South Norfolk;  seven nieces and seven nephews.
