Ledger-Star November 26, 1906
Mattie Strother, a highly respected colored woman, died yesterday afternoon at 2 
o’clock at the residence, No. 96 Queen street. She had been a faithful employee of 
Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Oliver and was greatly esteemed by them. The funeral will take 
place tomorrow morning at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
