His parents were Carson T. and Mrs. Pearl Chandler Sturgis. He is survived by several children, a sister, Mrs. Grace Sturgis Mallette of Chesapeake; and a half sister, Mrs. L.H. Jackson of Norfolk. The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Elmwood Cemetery for a funeral service Saturday at 11 a.m. to be conducted by the Rev. O.D. Poythress, retired Christian minister.
