Virginian Pilot November 5, 1901

Lola Herman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.K. Sturgis, of Bowden's Ferry Road, died 
at the home of her parents yesterday afternoon after an illness of three weeks in 
the seventh year of her age. This is the second daughter they have lost by death 
in the past three or four days. The sympathy of the community goes out to the 
family in this their time of sorrow. The funeral will take place from the 
Methodist Church at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning and will be conducted by the Rev. 
C.H. McGhee.
