Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, April 13, 1994 
Robert Eugene ``Bombay'' Sturgis, Jr., 28, of the 5800 block of Pickering St., a
long-distance truck driver, died April 10, 1994, at his residence.

Mr. Sturgis was a native of Norfolk and the son of Robert E. Sturgis Sr. and
Carolyn Lee Creekmore. He was employed with Beam Transport and was a member of
Providence United Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his stepfather, Daniel L.
Creekmore Sr.; two sons, Robert Wooten of Virginia Beach and Darryl Sullivan of
Portsmouth; one sister, Terica Sturgis and one brother, Daniel L. Creekmore Jr.,
both of Chesapeake; his grandmother, Mary Parrish of Norfolk, his fiancee,
Regena Smith; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Providence United Church of
Christ, 2200 Vicker Ave., Chesapeake, by the Rev. Alexander Jamison Sr. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Riddick
Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at his residence, 5838
Pickering St.
