Virginian-Pilot Tuesday, January 14, 1992 
Bessie Burfoot Sturtevant, 74, of the 100 block of W. Belvedere Road, died Jan. 
13, 1992, in a hospital.



Mrs. Sturtevant was born in Norfolk. She was the widow of Gilbert H. Sturtevant 
Sr.



Survivors include a son, Gilbert Sturtevant Jr. of Norfolk.



The graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Elmwood 
Cemetery by the Rev. Charles R. Greene. Friends may join the family at 124 W. 
Belvedere Road. Memorial donations may be made to the Episcopal Church of the 
Ascension. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
