Virginian-Pilot March 29, 1951
John Davidson Sturtridge, 30, husband of Mrs. Thelma Schwab Sturtridge, and son 
of Dewey C. and Mrs. Anne Davidson Sturtridge, died yesterday at 12:25 a.m. at 
the residence of his parents at Chinese Corner, Princess Anne County. He was a 
lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 3241 Granby Street.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by one daughter, Patricia Marie 
Sturtridge; one brother, Dewey C. Sturtridge, Jr., and a sister, Mrs. Annabell 
Kelly, of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for funeral services today at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery.
