Brooklyn - Mrs. Carolyn Jones Styron, a native of Norfolk, died Monday in her 
home  in Brooklyn, New York, where she had been residing for the last 10 
years.
She is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School.

She was the wife of Alexander Styron and a daughter of Havelon E. and Mrs. 
Vestine Brown Jones.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Berkley 
avenue, Norfolk.

Beside her husband and parents, surviving are a daughter, Kimbereley Renee 
Styron of Brooklyn;  a sister, Mrs. Leonthia Avery of Honolulu;  two brothers, 
Havelon E. Jones Jr., Donald M. Jones of East Orange, New Jersey and maternal 
grandmother, Mrs. Daisy Brown of Norfolk,  and a host of other relatives.

The body was sent to Chatman Funeral Home, Norfolk.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 4, at 2:00 p.m. on First 
Baptist Church, Berkley avenue, by the Rev. William Tyree Jr.  Burial will be 
in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.
