The Virginian-Pilot, Wednesday, August 30, 1961

NORFOLK - Luther Suiter, 54, of 1517 Virginia Beach Blvd., died Sunday in a 
hospital here.

Son of Robert and Mattie Suiter, he was a Southampton County native and lived 
here 35 years. He had been employed by Norfolk & Western Railway 33 years. He 
was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bertha Louise Suiter; two sons, Luther Roger 
Suiter Jr., USAF, Omaha, Neb., and Warren Edward Suiter of Norfolk; a daughter, 
Mrs. Barbara Ann Gorham of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bowers of Franklin 
and Miss Marcella Suiter of Philadelphia; two brothers, Junius Suiter of Norfolk 
and Herbert suiter of Zuni; and three grandchildren.

The body was taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home, where a funeral service will 
be held today at 11 a.m. by the Rev. John Jones. Burial will be in Cedar Grove 
Cemetery, Franklin.
