VIRGINIA BEACH — Sally Sawyer Sullivan, of the 800 block of First Colonial Road, 
retired owner and operator of D.J. Sullivan Produce Co., died Jan. 15,1990, in a 
hospital.
Mrs. Sullivan, a native of Camden County, N.C., was the widow of Daniel Joseph 
Sullivan Jr. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk 
and was past president of the Elks Auxiliary 38.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Jane Herrick of Virginia Beach, and a brother, 
James W. Sawyer of Carrsville.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral 
Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Norfolk, by the Rev. Thomas B. Nee. Burial will be 
in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 3 to 4 p.m. today in 
the funeral home.
