A proud attendee of Clemson University, Broaddus went on to serve his country with distinction in the United States Army. During his service, he was stationed in Ethiopia, where he put his linguistic talents to use as a French interpreter, an experience he often recalled with both pride and fondness. Broaddus, or Jimmy, as many called him, enjoyed intellectual challenges as much as he loved to have fun. Although he was an avid reader and a gifted numbers guy, nobody loved to go fishing or crabbing as much as he did. He didn't require much to be happy. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Estelle Powell Sullivan and Webster P. Sullivan. He is survived by his brother, Webster Sullivan Jr.; sister, Patricia Farrell; nephews, Michael and Patrick Farrell; and his niece, Kimberly Sawyer. Known as Sully by his friends,Broaddus Sullivan's life was one marked by love of fun, generosity, and a steadfast love for his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
