Norfolk Journal and Guide, page c3, Saturday, June 16, 1956 
Mrs. Classie Sumler, of 401 Walker avenue, will be buried June 17 in Calvary 
cemetery, with the Chatman Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Berkley. Officiating will 
be the Rev. J. C. Diamond, pastor.

MRS, SUMLER, a member of Annetta Tents, is survived by her husband, J. O. Sumler, 
three sons: Walter, Arthur and William; one sister, Mrs. Ida Freeman, one 
brother, Daniel Jackson, five grandchildren, and a nephew, Dr. C. Eugene Sumner.
