BRONX, N.Y. - Elder Roland Lee Sunkins of 1125 University Ave., died Friday in a 
hospital.

A native of Cape Charles, he was the husband of Elizabeth Nancy Sunkins. He 
retired from J.H. Miles and Company. He was a member of United House of Prayer 
for All People.

Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Olivia Posey of the Bronx, Mrs. 
Lucinda Denny of Brooklyn, Mrs. Gloria Smith of Washington, and Mrs. Jenetta 
Hudson of Charlotte, N.C.; seven sons, Ivoy and Isiah Sunkins both of Norfolk, 
James H. Sunkins of Portsmouth, Elder Charles E. Sunkins and John E. Sunkins, 
both of Petersburg, Roland Lee Sunkins Jr. of Washington, and Elder Willie A. 
Sunkins of Windsburg, S.C.; a brother, Bill Sunkins; 52 grandchildren; and 11 
great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held today at 1 p.m. in United House of Prayer for All 
People. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, E.A. Hughes Funeral Home has charge. 
The family will be at 422 West 30th St., Norfolk.
