Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, November 12, 1997 
Ruth Sutton, a Norfolk native, departed this life on Nov. 7, 1997.

Mrs. Sutton was retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard where she worked faithfully
for 25 years. She was the widow of Walter Sutton of Norfolk. She was the
daughter of Alice Gregory and the late Burt Gregory.

Additional survivors include two cousins, Devonne Taylor of Norfolk and Donessa
Rountree of Virginia Beach; a devoted friend, Danie Taylor of Norfolk; and a
host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Garrett Community Church where
she was a faithful member for many years. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery
. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
