Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, December 13, 1999 
Ella Mae Sutton, 73, of the 6400 block of Wellington St., died Dec. 10, 1999, of
natural causes.

Born in Jackson, N.C., she was a homemaker and the widow of Joseph Sutton Sr.
and a member of Roanoke Chapel in Jackson.

Survivors include daughters Betty Mae Sutton, Beatrice Sutton and Christine
Sutton, and sons Joseph Sutton Jr. and Jimmie Sutton, all of Norfolk; a sister,
Lillie Bell Sutton of Norfolk; grandchildren Bobby Sutton, Tashia Kelly,
Sherrell L. Sutton, Demarcus Sutton, Andrea D. Sutton, Sharita N. Sutton and
Joseph Sutton III; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was
predeceased by her parents, Della Ann E. Demory and Nick Demory; a sister,
Mittie Bell Allen; three brothers, Ernest Demory, Haywood Demory and James Hicks
Demory; and grandparents Archie Allen Sr. and Delpin Allen.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery .
