Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, April 5, 1993 
Richard Sutton Sr., of the 3000 block of Peronne Ave., a retired chef, died
April 2, 1993, in a local hospital.

Mr. Sutton was born in Wilson, N.C. He had retired from the Sheraton Hotel after
30 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Sutton; two daughters, Crystal Booth of
Baltimore, Md., and LaRosa Doswell of Portsmouth; two sons, Richard Sutton Jr.
of Norfolk and Larry Hagan of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Mattie Taylor, Bessie
Etheridge and Mary Pete, all of Norfolk; a brother, William Sutton of Norfolk;
five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Graves Funeral Home by the
Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will assemble
at the residence.
