Swain, motorman on the Berkley division of the Norfolk and Portsmouth Traction Company, who met death on Thursday night when his car jumped the track at Duncan's Corner, South Norfolk, took place from the family residence in Stafford Street yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. C.B. Richards, pastor of the Church of Christ, in South Norfolk. The remains were laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery. The attendance at the funeral service was very large, including a large delegation from Thomas Jefferson Council No. 16, Order of Fraternal Americans.
