Norfolk Virginian August 12, 1888

SWANK - In Baltimore, Md., Friday, August 10th, Mrs. ELLEN SWANK, beloved wife 
of T.W. Swank.
Interment at Elmwood Cemetery TUESDAY MORNING, August 14th, immediately after 
arrival of the Bay Line Steamer.

The remains of Mrs. Ellen A., wife of Mr. T.W. Swank, of Baltimore, arrived in 
the city yesterday morning on the Bay Line Steamer and were met at the wharf by 
a number of friends and relatives of the deceased in this city. They were 
conveyed from the boat to the cemetery, where Rev. T.G. Jones, pastor of the 
First Baptist Church, conducted the services. The following gentlemen acted as 
pallbearers: Messrs. Geo C. Reid, N.C. Pamplin, Luke Whitehurst, W.R. Barham, 
Samuel Veale, E.J. Whitehurst.
