NORFOLK — Catherine Marie Sweeney, 25, of the 4200 block of Caliente St., died 
May 16, 1989, in Jacksonville, Fla.
Miss Sweeney was a native of Portsmouth.
Survivors include her parents, Barbara A. and Thomas W. Sweeney of Norfolk; a 
sister, Teresa A. Sweeney of Norfolk; five brothers, Thomas J. Sweeney, Sean R. 
Sweeney and Donald W. Sweeney, all of Norfolk, Hubert L. Sweeney of Sigonella, 
Sicily, and James M. Sweeney of Virginia Beach; and paternal grandparents, Mr. 
and Mrs. Thomas A. Sweeney of Medford, Mass.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may join the family at 7037 
Doumar Drive, Norfolk, after the burial. A Christian wake will be held at 7:30 
pm. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Colonial Avenue.
