Barbara Bilinski Sweeney, 87, died Monday, January 13, 2020 in her residence. She 
was a native of Fort Sills, Oklahoma and a resident of Norfolk since 1958. She was 
the daughter of the late Hubert Leo Bilinski and Mary Mullens Bilinski and was 
preceded in death by her husband Thomas W. Sweeney, her children; Thomas J. 
Sweeney, Hubert L. Sweeney, James M. Sweeney, Catherine M. Sweeney, Sean R. 
Sweeney and Michelle K. Sweeney, her granddaughter, Karen and great grandson 
Thomas. She is a Roman Catholic and is survived by her daughter Teresa A. Sweeney 
of Norfolk and her son, Donald W. Sweeney of Palmetto, Florida, her grandchildren; 
Kathleen, Joshua, Amanda, Christine and Chelsea and her great grandchildren; 
Jeffrey, Adrianna, Avery, Emmett and Carolin; daughters-in-law Charlotte Sweeney 
and Cynthia Perkins. A memorial service will be held in the Norfolk chapel of H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apts., Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Reverend Father 
Romeo Jazmin will officiate. Private interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Norfolk 
Council #367, KOVAR.
