Virginian Pilot September 25, 1991

Troy G. Swindell, 53, of the 900 block of Larchmont Crescent, a retired bank 
vice president and mortgage underwriter, died Sept. 23, 1991, in a hospital.
Mr. Swindell was born in Belhaven, N.C. He had retired from Life Federal Savings 
Bank. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and served on its vestry. 
He was a past president of the Tidewater Area National Association of Credit 
Managers.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce J. Swindell; a daughter, Ashley B. Swindell of 
Norfolk; his mother, Margie B. Swindell of Virginia Beach; and a sister, Anita 
Lawson of Virginia Beach.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Andrew's 
Episcopal Church by the Rev. Charles A. Joy. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. 
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the church's building and grounds committee or 
to the Leukemia Society.
