Sword, 93, formerly of Heutte Drive in Norfolk, died Aug. 9, 2002, in Solona Beach, Calif. Mrs. Sword was a native of Norfolk and was the widow of Curtis S. Sword. She was a member for over 50 years at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Norfolk. Mrs. Sword and her husband owned and managed a Portsmouth Nash dealership, as well as The Blue Goose Restaurant at Ward's Corner in Norfolk until 1964. Survivors include her son, Curtis S. Sword Jr. and his wife Judith of Solana Beach, Calif.; a sister, Mary Georgiades of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kimberli S. Mandel of Seymour, Tenn., Kenneth Scott Sword of Waco, Texas and Curtis Sword III of Cardiff, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Curt and Anna Mandel; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church by Father Joseph Slattery. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. The family will receive friends at H.D.
