Born in Trenton, N.J., on Dec. 31, 1911, Anne was the daughter of Benjamin Joseph and Cecilia McGarrigle Brady. She was the widow of Robert Lois Swords. Anne was a resident of Norfolk for 56 years and a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, where she was a former member of the Altar Society. She is survived by two daughters, Arlene Anne Eyler and husband Lee of Norfolk and Lois Anne Swords of Chesapeake; 10 grandchildren, Hank, Chris, Rob, Matt, Allisan, Jamie and Leanne Eyler, Katie Humphrey, Laura Stalls and Rachel Helvy; 11 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. "Nauna" will always be remembered for her zest for life and her wonderful Irish sense of humor. She is dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
