Virginian-Pilot March 7, 1946
Miss Annie Cora Sykes, 74, daughter of the late John and Mrs. Alice Patterson 
Sykes, a native and life-long resident of Norfolk, died Tuesday at 2:43 p. m. at a 
local hospital. Services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments 
today at noon by the Rev. P. C. Blackburn, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. 
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
