Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark Thursday April 20, 1916

Walter A. Sykes, aged eight months, 12 days, died Tuesday night at 11:45 
o'clock at the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Sykes, 165 
Hawthorne avenue, South Norfolk.  The funeral will take place this afternoon 
at 3:30 o'clock at the grave in Magnolia Cemetery.

The funeral of Walter A. Sykes, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Sykes, was 
conducted yesterday afternoon at the grave in Magnolia Cemetery by Rev. W.M. 
Black, pastor of South Norfolk Baptist Church.
