The Virginian Pilot Wednesday September 14, 1966
Paul Wesley Sykes Sr., 64, a salesman for High Grade Food Products Co., died 
Tuesday at 12:15 a.m. in his home at 1522 Lafayette Blvd.
A native of Chesapeake, he lived here 47 years.  He was the husband of Mrs. 
Albert Carmine Sykes and a son of Willis A. and Mrs. Mary Speight Sykes.
He was a member of First Methodist Church. 
Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lynette Sykes Corley of 
Norfolk; a son, Paul Wesley Sykes Jr. of Norfolk and Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, 
Mrs. Mary Sykes Bradley of Norfolk; two brothers, Clarence J. Sykes of Virginia 
Beach and Carl E. Sykes of Norfolk; and a granddaughter, Miss Robin Lee Sykes of 
Raleigh.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. in Ewell & Williamson 
Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira A. Astin of First Methodist Church.  Burial will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery.
