Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 4, 1934

SYKES, MRS. LYDIA ADELIA - At the family residence, 1601 Chesapeake Avenue, 
South Norfolk, Monday afternoon, December 2, 1934, at 12:30 o'clock, MRS. 
LYDIA ADELIA SYKES, widow of John Henry Sykes, a native of Pleasant Grove, 
Norfolk County, and daughter of the late Miles and Mrs. Mary Butt Halstead, 
aged 80 years.
Funeral services will be conducted WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, December 5, 1934, at 2 
o'clock at the residence.  Friends are invited.  Burial will be in the family 
plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
