Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark November 5, 1917

Miss Louvenia Sykes, 70 years old, died Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at a 
local hospital, following a lingering illness.  She is survived by two 
sisters, Mrs. Missouri Hewitt and Mrs. Frances Berry, both of Norfolk.  The 
funeral will take place at the grave in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley, this 
morning at 11 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. E.L. Flanagan of Park 
Avenue Presbyterian Church.
