Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, December 9, 2002 
Georgiana Elizabeth Sykes, 95, of the 1200 block of Reservoir Ave., was called
home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 6, 2002. She was born in Norfolk County
and was a member of First Church of Christ Holiness.

She is predeceased by her husband, William L. Sykes and daughter, Ruth Wright.
Survivors include three daughters, Jacquelyn Riddick of Norfolk, Rosa Wallace of
New York and Georgiana Marable of Philadelphia; 22 grandchildren; 44
great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; a devoted nephew, James
Jiggetts; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Church of Christ
Holiness. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 10
a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
