Virginia Beach - Mrs. Daisy Sykes of 5930 Hoggard road was given final rites
Sunday in St. John AME Church, Davis Corner, with Morning Glory Funeral Home in
charge. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.

Mrs. Sykes, widow of Roy Sykes and daughter of the late Henry and Mary Foreman,
died Feb. 1 in a local hospital.

She was a native of Princess Anne County.

She is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Sykes of Norfolk, two sons, Archie
Foreman and Roy Sykes of Virginia Beach; five brothers, Charlie, David, John and
Robert Foreman of Norfolk and Henry Foreman of Virginia Beach; and four sisters,
Florence Bellamy, Mrs. Carrie White, Mrs. Cleo Mills and Mrs. Theresa Dillard of
Norfolk.
