Virginian Pilot Wednesday February 15, 1899

Mr. Samuel Sykes died Monday at 6 p.m. at his home on Berkley avenue, after 
several days of illness.  He leaves a wife and two children.  Remains were 
interred in Magnolia Cemetery yesterday.
