Virginian-Pilot & Norfolk Landmark, Wednesday, November 6, 1918 
Sykes - At the residence of her daughter, Mrs Eleanor Sykes Wilson, 274 Maple 
avenue,Berkley, Norfolk, Va. Tuesday morning November 5, 1918 at 12:20 o'clock. 
Mrs.Phoebe Sykes, widow of the late N. M. Sykes, aged 68 years, 2 months and 4 
days. 
The funeral will take place from the above residence this (Wednesday) afternoon 
at 3 o'clock. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend. The 
interment will be in the family lot in Magnolia cemetery.
